Are you a Dallas Cowboys fan?
Well then you have mutiple reasons to root for the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes grew up near Tyler, TX and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Another Chief, Nick Bolton, was born in Frisco, TX and played high school football at Lone Star High School. The Dallas Cowboys also largely exist in the NFL thanks to Lamar Hunt’s persistance and creation of the AFL and the Dallas Texans team which would become the Kansas City Chiefs after the NFL-AFL merger. This merger created the Super Bowl and helped bring about the Dallas Cowboys glory years. Also, you couldn’t possibly root for the Eagles right?

Rooting for Jalen Hurts (Channelview, TX) and Lane Johnson (Groveton, TX) and the Eagles is probably the closest you’ll ever get to rooting for a hometown team in the Super Bowl in the forseeable future.
