A new food hall concept called Serious Eats is opening its doors in Grand Prairie at the busy EpicCentral entertainment complex at 2971 S. State Highway 161, bringing tasty pizza slices, mouthwatering sliders, and decadent milkshakes with a full-service bar.
Serious Eats will celebrate its grand opening on Aug. 2 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The festivities will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce, live band performing family-friendly music, fun games, face painting, and giveaways.
Inside this area is the Jambox stage where live music, watch parties, and trivia nights will excite anyone who attends. Guests may also enjoy outdoor seating or picnic on the lawn while watching the Vegas-style Illuvia fountain show that occurs every evening.
The new concept will offer a self-service kiosk ordering for all three food categories. Guests can explore a fully customizable experience by creating a delicious slice of pizza or a milkshake piled high with toppings via any digital kiosk inside the food hall.

Serious Eats offers signature Serious Shakes topped with cake, candy, chocolate, and more. The 22-ounce specialty shakes include flavors like the Strawberry Shortcake with strawberry and sweet cream ice cream, a vanilla icing rim with strawberry crumble, topped with pound cake pieces, strawberry syrup, white chocolate, whip and cherry, and marinated strawberries. Or try the unique flavor called It’s Your Birthday with vanilla ice cream with cake pieces and sprinkles, a vanilla icing rim with rainbow sprinkles, a fun fetti cake slice, whip and cherry, and a birthday candle will have guests celebrating. Are you a peanut butter fan? The Peanut Butter Explosion is filled with peanut butter fudge ice cream, a chocolate rim with Butterfinger pieces, whipped cream, Reese’s Pieces candy, Reese’s Cup pieces, chocolate syrup, peanut butter, and a cherry.
Adults can check out the large bar serving beer, cocktails, frozens and boozy shakes, including the Vincent Vega with vanilla ice cream, caramel, and bourbon or the Regina George, a strawberry milkshake with a splash of vanilla and a shot of rum.
Hungry customers can order sliders and pizza options. These options include the Tex-Mex with pepper jack cheese, avocado smash, lettuce, pico, jalapeños, and chipotle aioli or the Californication Slider, which is a chicken slider is covered with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, chipotle aioli, and avocado smash. Try the Hot Diggity Dog, a classic hot dog featuring Nathan’s famous all-beef frank. Pizza lovers can try the Big Meat Slice with pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, smoked ham, and bacon.
The food hall will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – midnight and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 a.m.
