Dallas area tea lovers have a new spot in Carrollton to check out! Molly Tea, a fast-growing Chinese tea chain known for its jasmine-based milk teas and colorful drinks, has officially opened its first Dallas-Fort Worth location at 2540 Old Denton Road #122 in Carrollton.

Founded in Shenzhen, China, in 2021, Molly Tea has grown quickly with more than 2,000 locations worldwide and 25-plus stores in the United States. The new Carrollton shop is only the brand’s second location in Texas, following a Houston opening earlier this year. Franchisee Hui Chen also plans to bring Molly Tea to Plano and Austin, with a goal of eventually opening 20 locations across Texas.

Molly Tea specializes in drinks made with jasmine tea, including its Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, Pistachio Jasmine Coconut, Snowy Jasmine, Velvety Matcha Supreme, and Jasmine Apple Milk Tea. Most 16-ounce drinks cost between $6.99 and $7.99, and the shop plans to introduce limited-edition drinks each month.

The brand has also built a following on TikTok thanks to its photogenic drinks, creamy toppings, pastel-pink stores, and collectible merchandise. The Carrollton location features a bright pink interior with seating and a long counter designed for quick service.

The Carrollton shop is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

I love Texas and everything in it from the swampy gator infested lands of Southeast Texas, to the rural plains of East Texas, to East California (Austin), to the dirty beaches of Corpus, to the hip-hop of Houston, to the overly priced drinks of Dallas, to the dive bars of Fort Worth, to the delicious kolaches of West, TX, to the serenity of Waco, to the badlands of West Texas, and to the borderlands of El Paso.
