Richardson gains a new place to eat, drink, and hang out outdoors as the popular North Texas patio destination Truck Yard opens its newest location on September 1, 2026.
The new Truck Yard will reside at 740 S. Central Expressway, taking over the former Old 75 Beer Garden space in Richardson Restaurant Park. The location marks another North Texas outpost for the brand, which got its start on Lower Greenville in Dallas and has expanded to The Colony, Fort Worth, Houston, and Oklahoma City.
Like its other locations, Truck Yard Richardson will bring together rotating food trucks, an on-site kitchen, a full bar, and live music in a laid-back, backyard-style setting. The concept is designed as a casual gathering spot where groups can grab drinks, sample food from various vendors, and enjoy live entertainment. Dogs and families are welcome, keeping with Truck Yard’s come-as-you-are atmosphere.

Food trucks will rotate throughout the property, giving diners a selection of local options rather than a single fixed menu. Truck Yard is currently recruiting local food truck operators for the Richardson lineup.
The venue will also have its own kitchen, providing another option when hunger hits. Customers can find smashburgers, Philly cheesesteak, nachos, chicken wings, loaded fries, steak fingers, and more. Find a range of cocktails, such as the Novocaine, which blends Margarita and Ginger Beer, or the Passion Fruit Mojito. The Truck Yard offers a full lineup of spirits and flask cocktails.
The new location will include something from Richardson’s history. A replica of the sign from the city’s former Como Motel is expected to be displayed at the property, adding a bit of local nostalgia to Truck Yard’s eclectic décor.
