After unexpectedly shutting its doors in July 2024, Dog Haus Biergarten is making a comeback in Richardson. The gourmet hot dog and burger spot is set to reopen under new ownership on April 17, 2025, at its former location: 744 S. Central Expressway, Suite 210.
Known for its creative takes on comfort food, the restaurant will bring back fan favorites like the Chili Idol, a chili cheese dog topped with onions, and the Cowboy, which features smoked bacon, cheddar cheese sauce, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce. The menu offers burgers like the Cheeseburger, The Ringer with crispy onion rings, and The Hangover with white American cheese, smoked bacon, Haus chili, fried egg, and mayo. The menu will also include chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, burritos, sliders, kid’s meals, as well as a wide range of local craft beers and cocktails. It will offer outdoor seating on a dog-friendly patio.
The return of Dog Haus is generating buzz in the local community, especially following its abrupt closure last summer. With new leadership in place, many are looking forward to an upgraded experience and the same bold flavors that made it a hit.
