Austinites looking for a fun new cocktail bar can try Daisy Lounge, which recently opened in South Austin on Slaughter Lane.
Within the neighborhood seafood restaurant Keepers, situated at 5701 W Slaughter Lane, lies Daisy Lounge, a brand-new cocktail lounge and private event area. The chef Amir Hajimaleki of Silk Road Hospitality company, which also owns Keepers, Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar (with locations in the North and South), District Kitchen + Cocktails (also with locations in the North and South), and Shortie’s Pizza & Grinders, is the brains behind Daisy Lounge.
The three-story venue, named for their grandmother’s favorite flower, the daisy, was created by Amir and his brother Ali. Holding 38 people, the cozy and relaxing cocktail bar boasts floor to ceiling bookshelves, elegant furnishings, floral wallpaper, gold accents, and a deep, dark green wall paint, among other wonderful features. Complete with a 12-seat private dining table, the top floor is the perfect place for Chef Hajimaleki to conduct monthly pop-ups of Roya, a traditional Persian concept that has been throwing successful dinners for years and will hopefully open a permanent location.

Come to this bar thirsty. Daisy Lounge offers beer, white wine, red wine, and rose/sparkling wine. Sip on classic cocktails like the Black Lime Daquiri or the Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Or try an experimental cocktail such as the Sodies with St. George Botanivore Gin, Lillet Rose, Raspberry, Lemon, and Ginger Beer.
Daisy serves a limited selection of appetizers and snacks, with an Iranian twist. One popular item is Zeytoon Parvardeh that consists of marinated walnuts, pomegranate, Castelvetrano olives, and herbs. Customers can try corn nuts infused with Cajun seasoning, saffron, lime, and salt, and little lobster rolls from Keepers.
