Wine enthusiasts living in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex can now visit a new wine bar called the Salute Wine Bar in Fort Worth. The appeal of this fun wine bar is that wine is on tap. Guests can pour wine at 212 Carroll St. #130 in the Foundry District. The restaurant bar debuted on January 26, 2024.
The wine bar stems from husband-and-wife Jyl and John Lopez, who left Corporate America to start their own business. A wine bar was a 15-year dream for the couple who live in Aledo, a suburb of Fort Worth.
The bar’s name Salute has two meanings: it’s a traditional toast that signifies health in various languages and honors John’s military time. After serving in the Air Force for ten years on active duty, he is currently a reservist.
Luckily, when the couple updated the space, they took over the pouring system installed by the previous tenant, Thirty Eight & Vine, which was one of the first to introduce this wine concept when it opened in 2019. Customers can have a sample before choosing a glass of wine.
The bar serves more than 40 selections from many wine regions, like France, Spain, and California. The bar offers wine at affordable prices. Customers can order three sizes: 1-ounce, 3-ounce, or 5-ounce pours. The prices range from under $2 to $10.
Customers can also order wine by the glass or the bottle. For those who need something delicious to eat, the bar offers shareable plates, including flatbreads, a meat and cheese board, Caesar salad, Italian meatballs, and desserts like tiramisu and cheesecake, which run from $7 to $24.
Check out the bar’s website and social network for information on future tastings and events.
