Former Abacus chef Chris Patrick and his wife, Laura Patrick, are excited about their newest venture — a grab-and-go market that offers delivery and pick up, specialty food items, and bottles of fine wine. Starting the first week of May (from 11 am to 3 pm through Friday), Curio Kitchen + Market began its soft opening phase in Downtown Lancaster, a Dallas suburb.

The couple is offering a limited lunch menu of grab-and-go chef-prepared foods, salads and artisan sandwiches while they prepare for a grand opening. Guests can order sandwiches like a turkey bacon club, Muffuletta, 44 Farms pastrami, and chicken pesto. The popular Turkey Bacon Club Sandwich is stacked with flavor with layers of Empire Baking Company sourdough, house made Russian dressing, baby arugula, shaved red onions, diced tomato, bacon, freshly sliced smoked turkey.

Salads include grilled chicken Caesar, field green, and turkey bacon Cobb. The chef-prepared Grilled Chicken Caesar is loaded with chopped romaine, grilled marinated chicken breast, cherry tomato, red onion, carrot, parmesan, crouton, and the special Curio Caesar Dressing.

After leaving his culinary director position at Abacus Jasper’s Restaurant Group, Chef Patrick and Laura started a chef-prepared food delivery service called Bright Box Foods. Curio Kitchen + Market will take over the Bright Box Foods’ delivery concept, offering grab-and-go meals prepared by Chef Patrick.
