La Pistola Kitchen + Saloon will soon bring the romance and flavors of Italy, along with the cinematic storytelling of spaghetti westerns, to 1812 Montgomery Street in Fort Worth. The casual fine-dining concept, expected to open in mid-September, comes from Jeffrey Yarbrough and Camille McDonald, the team behind popular Near Southside restaurant Teddy Wong’s Dumplings and Wine.
Don’t expect a traditional red-sauce Italian restaurant. La Pistola is a neighborhood spot that draws inspiration from the strong and resilient female characters of spaghetti westerns. The décor will include museum-quality photographs of local women styled as modern Western heroines, celebrating strength and independence.
The menu will blend Italian influences with the atmosphere of a contemporary Texas restaurant. During lunch, diners can expect chef-driven sandwiches, fresh salads, and lighter dishes designed for a casual midday meal.
Dinner offerings will include handmade pasta, premium steaks, roasted chicken, and fresh seafood. The restaurant plans to focus on quality ingredients and straightforward preparations that allow it to move comfortably between Italian and Texas influences.
Drinks will also be an exciting part of the experience. Yarbrough and McDonald have prepared an intriguing wine program like the one at Teddy Wong’s, complemented by Italian-inspired craft cocktails and a curated beer selection.
With Dickies Arena directly across the street, La Pistola is positioned for everything from business lunches and family dinners to pre-show drinks and post-rodeo meals in an ideal Fort Worth location.
