Take me out to the lazy river!

Do you love baseball? What about floating around in a lazy river? Well, if you love both, then you are in luck!

This summer, you can beat the heat and watch the Frisco RoughRiders baseball team play at Riders Field while you cool off in the 68,000-gallon lazy river that rises above the right-field wall. This unique sports venue gives you the best views of the entire stadium from your inner tube or swimming in the water. Bring your family or bring your pals, as you can’t do this anywhere else in the country.

You’ll love being a floating spectator in the amazing, heated pool, dubbed the Choctaw Lazy River, which runs more than 3,000 square feet. A full lap in an inner tube equals a leisurely 400 feet. Up to 200 others can join you in the lazy river, the size of an NHL hockey rink. This exceptional addition to the RoughRiders stadium and the largest body of water in professional sports also features 113 linear feet of waterfalls that face the field and offer a unique fan experience.

For those of you who love fun facts and according to the initial RoughRiders press release, 68,023 gallons of water in the lazy river could be replaced by 1.2 million baseballs or more than a million cups of nacho cheese.

Since opening in June 2016, baseball fans have enjoyed their time at the river. If you are interested, you could attend the Party at the Yard on Thursdays for guests 21 and over or the Family Fun Day on Sundays for fans of all ages.

When You Should Go
On Sundays, lazy river tickets go for $29 and include all-you-can-eat hot dogs, brats, chips, peanuts, and Dr. Pepper products for nearly three hours. Plus, you can hear pre-game live music in the right field before the first ball is hit.

Maybe Thursdays work better for you? Thursdays are only $25 to access the lazy river. Your ticket includes $1 domestic beers that you can enjoy in the lazy river or one of the North Texas stadium’s open-air cabanas.

On Thursdays and Sundays, the Lazy River is available for single-game ticket buyers to purchase a Lazy River ticket. Thursdays are 21+ for Blue Norther Rowdy at the river. A Lazy River ticket must be purchased online or in person to access the Lazy River.

Are you looking for a group outing? Groups can hang out on the river on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Don’t miss out on this bucket-list experience! Gather your friends and purchase tickets online or in person at the stadium. For more information, visit the RoughRiders site.
