Residents in Celina craving crispy fried chicken and buttery biscuits now have more options with the opening of Bojangles, a new Southern food destination. This new North Texas restaurant brings its signature Southern flavors to one of the state’s fastest-growing communities.
Located at 3615 S. Preston Road in The Village at Ownsby Farms, Bojangles welcomed its first guests on June 23, 2026, marking another milestone in the chain’s continued expansion across Texas.
Founded in North Carolina nearly 50 years ago, Bojangles has earned a devoted following by focusing on Southern comfort food prepared fresh all day. Its hand-breaded, Cajun-seasoned chicken remains the star of the menu, but many loyal fans love the chain’s made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits, baked regularly to ensure every order is served warm.
Breakfast has long been one of Bojangles’ biggest attractions, with biscuit sandwiches featuring chicken, sausage, bacon and country ham available each morning. In addition, customers can choose from family meals, chicken sandwiches, tenders, wraps and traditional Southern sides, including macaroni and cheese, dirty rice, seasoned fries, mashed potatoes and coleslaw.
Customers can try the restaurant’s signature Bo-Berry Biscuits, which are sweet biscuits filled with blueberries and topped with icing.

The restaurant is open daily, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with both dine-in and drive-thru service available. As thousands of new homes continue to be built and families move into the area, national restaurant brands are increasingly choosing the city as a destination for expansion.
