Well-loved Houston food truck, Waffle Bus, had a grand opening for its second brick-and-mortar location on December 17.

Waffle Bus, founded by Phi Nguyen 10 years ago, was initially just a food truck (hinted by its name) before it finally opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in the Heights last 2019. Now, they have opened their second brick-and-mortar location right in the Montrose community.

They are known for their wide array of waffle offerings like chicken and waffles, chicken thunder fries, and “fryders” (sliders with waffle fries). Aside from waffles, they also offer wings, sandwiches, and burgers.

For dessert, they have sweet waffle sandwiches and a milk and cereal bar that offers different cereal brands with add-on toppings like rainbow sprinkles, gummy bears, and waffle cone pieces. Specifically for their Montrose location, they will offer Dole Whip soft serve in black cherry, pineapple, or you could even get both.

The Montrose store of the Waffle Bus is located at 1540 West Alabama, formerly the BuffBurger, and has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating for your dining pleasure. You can check out their delicious menu here.
