Le Bistrot Bar Sardine, an elegant, candlelit Parisian bistro specializing in authentic French cuisine, will open its doors in University Park’s Snider Plaza on December 20, 2024.
The seafood-centric bistro, evoking a coastal French cafe, brings French charm to North Texas. The restaurant is spearheaded through Vandelay Hospitality, known for restaurants like the Hudson House, Drake’s, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Jack & Henry’s, and Anchor Sushi Bar.
Led by École Ducasse-trained Executive Chef Elliot Azoulay, who has relocated from Paris, France, specifically for the restaurant, will bring a fresh take on French cuisine mixed with Mediterranean flavors. Shareables and appetizers, like cheese, charcuterie, prosciutto and melon, and honey truffle brie baguette, are on the menu. There are also three types of French fries: plain-Jane frites, frites Diane, and truffle frites.
Le Bistrot Bar Sardine offers unique classic French seafood cuisine featuring sardines, lobster risotto, crab-stuffed peppers, and Gulf oysters, showcasing their rich flavors. Stand-out dishes include l’escargot with parsley butter and pommes grenailles, artichaut barigoule (artichokes braised in white wine with roasted vegetables), saumon tartare with spice aioli, avocado, and caviar, and much more.
Customers can order signature cocktails, such as the Caviar Martini, made with Grey Goose, toasted rye, white peppercorn, and bitters. Or how about the chocolate negroni with campari, creme de cocoa, and chocolate bitters?
