Nuri Steakhouse, which opened in Uptown Dallas on August 20, was created by Smoothie King magnate Wan Kim. It’s one expensive steakhouse, costing $20 million to complete, potentially making it the most expensive restaurant in the city.

Nuri Steakhouse offers a unique blend of steakhouse fare and Korean dishes. The menu is curated by a Michelin-recognized chef to honor the rich traditions of Asia, the essence of New Orleans, and the warmth of Southern traditions.

Chef Minji Kim, a Michelin Plate recipient and former owner of Min’s Kitchen, brings her culinary expertise to Dallas, enhancing the dining scene. She serves as the Culinary Director of Nuri Steakhouse and JOA Grill.

According to the Nuri website, the restaurant uses a unique collection of bowls, over a century old, which were believed to have graced the homes of the affluent during Koreaā€™s Japanese colonial period.

For hot appetizers, try the Crab Cake or the Creamed Mussells, and for cold appetizers, there’s Steak Tartare, Shrimp Cocktail, and Hamachi Ceviche, and much more. Enjoy the fancy caviar service or the Korean Style Lobster. There are fresh salads, aged steaks, even 40 plus dry aged steaks. Really hungry? Then go for the 40 oz Porterhouse, priced at $350. Find specialty Wagyu steaks, too. Don’t leave without trying the Bananas Foster Cake with a dobarge layer cake and bananas foster. It has a layer cake, rum frosting, and rum caramel on top. The chefs caramelize a banana and add some dehydrated banana, then add some Balcones Texas rum that gets drizzled on table side.
