Patriotism and duty to country are things that run deep in Texans. Ever since 1845 that has meant being dedicated to the United States of America, something a lot of Texans take pride in around the 4th of July each year.
This year on the 3rd of July a group of shoppers at a Walmart in Haslet, TX randomly broke out into singing the National Anthem while waiting to checkout. This particular Walmart had American flags hanging from the ceiling which the Texans were singing towards.
From what we have been told by witnesses, one person randomly started singing the National Anthem facing the flags and other Texans joined in. That’s where the viral video picks up.
Here’s the original version of the video shot by Cody Bill Schrage which has attracted hundreds of thousands of views around the country and a LOT of anti-American hate in the Facebook comments.
The video was then posted to TikTok by user “Raised..Right” where it racked up tens of thousands of more views and inspired some news websites / TV stations to cover the event. The video shows Texans singing together whith hats off and hands over their hearts in a moving display of patriotism and American pride.
