A fun sports bar named FANZO Sports Bar opened on March 22 in Frisco at 5977 Preston Road. The bar’s menu was inspired by TV celebrity chef Vijay Sadhu, who is competing on a new Food Network cooking show called 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing.
Customers can watch their favorite sports teams while enjoying craft beer, cocktails, and bar food with global inspiration in an environment that exceeds a typical sports bar atmosphere.
A world-class team with mentorship from icons such as Steven Pyles, Chef Sadhu’s expertise shines at FANZO, as he has graced popular shows on Food Network, such as Beat Bobby Flay and Cutthroat Kitchen. Having an opportunity to bring in and learn from Chef Sadhu as an external hospitality consultant, the sports bar can achieve optimum levels.

Sadhu created an eclectic and innovative menu with small plates like Bang Bang Chicken and Crab Cakes. Fresh salads like the wedge salad and arugula salad will enlighten those who want lighter fare. Hungry customers can order Seared Salmon, Shrimp and Grits, or Cowboy’s Rib Eye Steak. Guests can also order burgers or flatbreads. And yes, delicious desserts include the Old Monk Rum Bread Pudding.
Along with seasoned mixologist Brian McCullough, Sadhu created a line of craft cocktails that range from martinis to the Green Goddess, which combines mezcal, cucumber puree, and ancho chiles, and the Staycation, which combines Lockwood pineapple rum, Monin syrup, turmeric syrup, mango puree, coconut yogurt, and a dash of bubbly.
FANZO boasts a modern and fancy atmosphere with leather furniture, a mezzanine lounge, and screens, including a 20-foot-high video wall behind the bar. It also has a covered outdoor patio with two 65-inch TVs and seating for 40 people.
