The Warwick Melrose, one of Dallas’ most recognizable properties, recently opened The Landmark Prime Rib, a prime rib steakhouse that replaces The Landmark. A chef-served prime rib cart adds to the classic dining experience at this historic Dallas hotel.
The Warwick Melrose – Dallas hotel, situated at 3015 Oak Lawn Avenue in the Oak Lawn district, was constructed in 1924 and has remained magnificent throughout its century-long history despite numerous ownership changes. The hotel’s main dining room has remained closed for almost four years since the pandemic, but its piano bar, The Library, has stayed open.
The new The Landmark Prime Rib is steakhouse luxury offering hand-carved prime rib cuts, surf and turf, wines, and a cocktail program created by Executive Chef Patrick McLeroy.
The prime rib service presents four cuts, ranging from 8-ounce to 20-ounce, at one of three temperatures, with rotating sauces, rubs, and butter, from traditional to spicy. The meat is cut and served from a vintage carving cart in the restaurant’s center, offering chefs a chance to serve and chat directly with guests.

Additional menu options include pan-seared salmon, sea bass, roasted chicken breast, and other steak cuts such as NY Strip Dianne and filet mignon. Garlic mash, truffle mac and cheese, Bordeaux, mushrooms, and sautéed broccolini are among the sides served.
Beverages include wine, spirits, and cocktails like the Boulevardier with bourbon, Campari, sweet vermouth, and on-trend mocktails featuring cold press cocktail mixers.
The lobby’s marble floor, elaborate chandeliers, and classic Hemingway accents like the wrought iron mail drop used by Melrose Court Apartments tenants in 1924 provide ample ambiance. Together with modern amenities like marble floors and glass-enclosed showers, the hotel’s oversized rooms and suites maintain their original charm. The hotel has 184 bedrooms, suites, and a Presidential Suite. The pool and spa opened in 2021.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 5-10 p.m. every night, plus a Sunday brunch.
