Fort Worth’s culinary scene is turning up the heat with the opening of Loves Barbecue & Oyster Bar, the newest venture from acclaimed Fort Worth chef Tim Love. Nestled in Mule Alley beside Tannahill’s Tavern and Music Hall, the restaurant offers upscale Texas barbecue with a raw bar concept, capturing Texas smokehouse tradition and Gulf Coast flavor.
The new concept is an attractive addition to the rapidly evolving Stockyards entertainment district. Guests can expect smoky meats, seafood-forward starters, hearty comfort dishes, and a lively atmosphere that complements the neighboring live music venue.
At the center of the menu are the restaurant’s staples, premium barbecue and oysters. Diners can start with raw oysters on the half shell, chargrilled oysters paired with garlic bread, or crispy fried oysters served alongside cornbread for a Southern-inspired touch.
The appetizer menu features Texas comfort food, such as brisket queso, green chili and crab dip, fish tacos, giant pretzels, and a nostalgic Frito pie. Salads offer lighter options without sacrificing flavor, including a kale-and-apple salad and shaved Brussels sprouts, blending savory elements with fresh ingredients.
The heart of the menu is barbecue offerings, including smoked brisket, massive beef ribs, baby-back pork ribs, and smoked chicken, while entrées range from a cowboy ribeye to chicken-fried steak to brisket enchiladas. Customers can also order sandwiches such as the cheeseburger and the fried bologna sandwich.
Classic sides round out the experience with cheddar grits, potato salad, grilled green beans, and other steakhouse-inspired accompaniments.
The opening further expands Tim Love’s growing presence in the Stockyards, where he has helped shape the district into one of North Texas’ premier entertainment and culinary destinations.
