Chocolate lovers living in Austin will be thrilled that a new chocolate shop called Golden Eye Chocolates opened on January 27, 2024, at 3010 West Anderson Lane in Suite E in the North Shoal Creek neighborhood. The shop was founded by Lynde Mitchell and Jess Morrisey, who are excited to offer decadent and colorful chocolates in classic and creative flavors.
Customers will be in chocolate heaven when they peruse the yummy and lengthy flavor guide. There are so many unique flavors with bright colors to try. The Red Eye is with espresso ganache dark chocolate. Still Bourbon is flavored with Bourbon Ganache and Texas Pecan Praline. Matcha Green Tea has Matcha green tea, vanilla, and white chocolate. Try the Lemon Lavender flavor with Tart Lemon Jam, lavender-infused ganache, and white chocolate. There are at least 25 plus flavors to select from, plus classic chocolate flavors and dark chocolate varieties like 84 percent Dominican Republic, which has Dark Chocolate Ganache, made with SRSLY’s 84% Dominican Republic Chocolate.
The chocolates are available to buy one or two at a time and boxed options, like 36-piece, 12-piece, and 6-piece assortments. Customers can buy a single bar, too, and a gift stack. T-shirts, Golden Eye spreads, chippies, dippies, and chocolate bark are also for sale.

Mitchell and Morrisey once worked together at Austin shop Chocolaterie Tessa. When that closed in May 2020, they decided to build a chocolate business. Golden Eye Chocolates launched in 2021, where they made sweets for pickup at Ghostline Kitchens. Success and demand inspired them to open a store to sell their unique chocolate flavors.
Hours are Monday through Thursday, 12 p.m. – 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 12 p.m. — 8 p.m.
