Slick City, the first waterless water park in Texas, will open the weekend of December 8, 2023, inside the Katy Mills Mall in Houston. It will be the third location nationwide, with other Slick City Action Park locations in Denver and St. Louis.
The new waterless park is for all ages and offers 55,000 square feet, 11 exciting slides, and mini motors (for 6-12 only). It also features aerial attractions like zip lining, swings, as well as multi-sport courts for basketball, soccer, and dodge ball. The modern concept enables guests to be in a unique waterless park environment, without the sun, heat, and water.
The indoor slides are designed like water park slides, but without water. Instead, guests land on padded floors or landing pits. The Junior Jungle is a section of smaller slides and a soft play area for younger children under 4 years old. Slick City can also host birthday parties, corporate events, and special events.
Attractions for youth and adults include the Lazy River slide, where guests twist and turn down the slide, and the Off Ramp, an exciting slide that provides a fast and thrilling rush. Royal Flush is a bowl-shaped slide, and the Big Wave is similar to a half pipe. Grab some air on the Launch slide or go on a slide that is like a berm on a luge track. Four competitors can compete against each other on the Fast Lane slide. Air courts provide space to jump and dunk on the basketball goal.
Hours include Monday through Thursday 1 to 8:30 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
