Celebrate the start of 2023 in San Antonio

Looking for a last minute NYE idea? An event that brings in over 70,000 attendees is sure to be an event worth considering. Celebrate SA is the city of San Antonio’s official New Year’s Event and it takes place right in the middle of Downtown San Antonio from 6:00 pm to midnight. This annual celebration is produced by the San Antonio Park’s Foundation and the City of San Antonio, and this year’s theme will be, “Dancing in the Streets!”

The Party will take place on South Alamo Street, between Market Street and Cesar Chavez Blvd, and Villita Street, and at the Arneson River Theatre. Guests can enjoy live performances by:

  • Eddie & The Valiants
  • John Charlie’s Heavy Love
  • DJ Isaiahfromtexas
  • LA 45
  • JOAQUIN
  • DJ Lovedocument

These live performances will take place on the Boogie Bend Stage at the Arneson River Theater, and at the South Alamo Main Stage. Attendees can also enjoy the annual festive holiday lighting along the San Antonio Riverwalk.

The night is completed with carnival rides and attractions, Eats and Artisan vendors, beer & wine (available for purchase), and a fireworks show at the stroke of midnight. As if it couldn’t get any better, channel News 4 will broadcast the entire event for those of us who would rather stay cozied up at home.

Head to Downtown San Antonio for the festivities, or 434 S. Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78205.
