Plano’s chicken scene is now spicier. Hattie B’s Hot Chicken, the Nashville-born restaurant known for its fiery fried chicken and Southern comfort food, opened a new location in Plano, expanding its footprint in North Texas. The restaurant debuted on June 17, 2026, at Preston Towne Crossing near Preston Road and Park Boulevard.
Founded in Nashville in 2012 by father-and-son team Nick Bishop Sr. and Nick Bishop Jr., Hattie B’s introduced Nashville-style hot chicken to a national audience. The brand has expanded beyond Tennessee and operates locations across several states, including Texas.
The menu centers on crispy fried chicken available in a range of spice levels, from heat-free, non-spicy Southern-style seasoning to the chain’s famously intense, spicy “Shut the Cluck Up” option. Guests can choose from bone-in chicken, tenders, wings, and sandwiches, all paired with classic Southern sides.
Beyond the chicken, fans can expect favorites such as crinkle-cut fries, pimento mac and cheese, baked beans, collard greens, potato salad, and desserts including banana pudding and peach cobbler. The restaurant also recently introduced additional menu items, including a Southern-style salad and a sweet-and-smoky dry-rub chicken option for guests who prefer a lighter flavor.

The Plano opening will mark the company’s second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, joining its existing Dallas restaurant in Oak Lawn.
For North Texans who enjoy bold flavors and a little extra kick, Hattie B’s arrival means another destination for one of Nashville’s most famous culinary traditions.
