Houston’s Briargrove and Tanglewood residents seeking healthy food will be pleased with the new addition of Leaf & Grain, which opened on Saturday, April 6. This is the restaurant’s fourth location, which is located at 5779 San Felipe Street on the border of Tanglewood and Briargrove.

Leaf & Grain serves salads, bowls, and sandwiches. Guests can choose grain bowls like the Good Greek with brown rice, spinach, chopped romaine, roasted cage-free chicken, Persian cucumber, cherry tomato, diced red onion, creamy feta, pita chips, and Yia Yia’s Vinaigrette. Or a grain bowl called The Common Table with brown rice, shredded kale, roasted Brussels sprouts, apples, goat cheese, shaved almonds, cage-free chicken, and Honey-White Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Customers can order delicious salads, such as The Classic featuring spinach, arugula, roasted cage-free chicken, roasted Brussels sprouts, apples, walnuts, golden raisins, blue cheese, and Citrus Vinaigrette. Hungry for a bigger meal? Try the French Country Dinner with lentils du puy, brown rice, roasted carrots, roasted cage-free chicken thigh, arugula, and Citrus Vinaigrette.

The restaurant opened its first location in the Shops at Houston Center in 2017. In 2021, it opened a restaurant outside of downtown in West University Place. Leaf & Grain co-founder Deets Hoffman has been obsessed with restaurants since high school, so these four Leaf & Grain restaurants are a dream come true.

Leaf & Grain’s new location will operate with the same hours as the West University store — daily from 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.
