Fast-Casual Chicken Concept Called Bad Chicken Lands in Dallas

A locally owned fast-casual chicken concept serving wings, nuggets, and chicken sandwiches recently opened its doors at 5014 Ross Avenue. The new restaurant replaces the original Bad Chicken in Preston Center, which closed, and this new location will serve as Bad Chicken’s new headquarters.

As you step into the restaurant, you’re greeted by a neon sign that says, “Be bad. Be very bad.” Bad Chicken understands the importance of convenience, which is why they offer a drive-through service that’s open all day and late into the night.

Bad Chicken strives to create an amazing culinary experience, using bones to infuse unique flavors. The wings are first smoked, then fried to perfection and served with a mouth-watering array of over 20 house-made sauces. From the zesty Bang Bang to the sweet Marshmallow Sauce, each sauce is a flavor adventure waiting to be explored. Customers can also indulge in the nuggets and bomb bowls, where a base like mac and cheese, fries, or sweet potato fries is topped with loads of chicken and sauce. The menu also boasts stacked chicken sandwiches and a Smashburger with two all-beef patties. For a healthier option, the BBQ salad is a must-try.

A large menu of desserts made in-house includes Cheesecake Egg Rolls with blueberry compote, Churro Donut Holes, a Chocolate Mousse Cup, a Heavenly Chocolate Cookie, Lemon Ice Box Pie, and Crème Brulee.

Customers can order delicious drinks like beer, wine, and cocktails, which you can even order at their drive thru. Frozen cocktails include Frozen Jack & Coke, Frozen Lemonade with vodka, and Frozen Margarita. Other drinks that guests can order include a Blueberry Lemonade Margarita and a Henny-Rita, a margarita made with Hennessy.

Owners Shuey and Chef Tim Woehr opened Bad Chicken’s test kitchen in November 2022 with the intention of opening a wing restaurant in Dallas that could quickly deliver high-quality wings with a variety of sauces.

Guests can stay late at the Bad Chicken location. The dining room, patio, and drive-thru are open Sunday-Thursday from 10 am – 2 am and Friday-Saturday from 10 am – 3 am.
