Another BBQ restaurant lands in Dallas that will for sure satisfy your barbecue cravings. Moak’s Family Texas BBQ opened on August 21, 2024, in Dallas’ West End in the former space that was Sonny Bryan’s.
Moak’s Family Texas BBQ is the newest concept from restaurateur Jay Khan, who owns five other restaurants in downtown Dallas: Más Street Tacos, RJ Mexican Cuisine, Liam’s Steakhouse, Chet’s Dallas, and 3Eleven Kitchen & Cocktails.
The laid-back Moak’s Family Texas BBQ will include fun activities like a pool table and dart boards. Customers can stay out late at this restaurant as it offers late-night hours (open until 1 am on Fridays and Saturdays). The menu features starters like fried pickles, fried onion rings, chips and queso, Texas Torpedoes with bacon wrapped brisket stuffed jalapenos, and much more.
Meat lovers can order beef ribs, jalapeno sausage, smoked half-chicken, Texas brisket, turkey, sausage, and other delicious items. Entrees include chicken fried steak and a Texas ribeye, and customers can order sandwiches like the sliced turkey sandwich or the sliced sausage sandwich. Don’t miss the loaded baked potatoes and sides like French fries, coleslaw, fried okra, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. Dessert includes Moak’s churro bites, homemade banana pudding, and peach cobbler.
