Texans love a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream on a hot summer day. The beloved Brenham-based creamery is hitting the road with its Lone Star Scoop Tour, bringing free ice cream samples, frozen treats, and giveaways to communities across Texas, including Dallas-Fort Worth, from July 10 through August 28, 2026.
The statewide tour is Blue Bell’s way of thanking the generations of Texans who have supported the company for more than a century. Throughout the year, the company’s specially branded events truck and trailer will make stops at grocery stores, community events, and other locations, serving complimentary hand-dipped ice cream while supplies last.
The Lone Star Scoop Tour follows a published schedule, allowing fans to plan and meet the Blue Bell team at designated locations. New cities and event dates are added throughout the year, with the company encouraging visitors to check the latest schedule on Blue Bell’s website and social media pages, as weather or other circumstances may affect tour stops.
The tour began in Blue Bell’s hometown of Brenham before making its way across Texas, with planned visits spanning major metropolitan areas and smaller communities alike. Recent stops have included San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and now the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where the tour continues throughout July and August at select retail locations.

Visitors can expect more than just free scoops. Blue Bell representatives will also hand out frozen snacks, branded merchandise, and promotional giveaways, creating a festive atmosphere that celebrates one of Texas’ most recognizable brands. The events are open to the public and designed to be family friendly.
The tour arrives during a busy summer for Blue Bell, which has recently reintroduced several seasonal favorites, including Red, White & Blue Bell to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, Southern Blackberry Cobbler, and Orange Swirl, giving fans the flavors they enjoy while enjoying a free sample on the road.
