The Kava Bar, located at 337 West Jefferson Boulevard in Dallas’ Oak Cliff neighborhood, officially opened on February 15, 2025. This new bar specializes in kava, an ancient South Pacific root beverage known for its earthy flavor and natural calming effects, which is a popular alternative to alcohol.

The Oak Cliff location marks the third in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, following its predecessors in Denton and on Preston Road. The bar, which operates daily from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m., offers a welcoming, family- and pet-friendly environment. The Kava Bar is conveniently situated within walking distance of the Bishop Arts District and is a relaxing space for locals and visitors.

In addition to kava, The Kava Bar provides a selection of other botanical-based beverages, including coffee and matcha. The bar also serves Delta-8, which is one of over a hundred different types of cannabinoids produced from the cannabis plant. Delta-8 produces psychoactive and intoxicating effects. Customers can also choose an elixir made from Kratom or mitragyna speciosa, a tropical evergreen tree in the coffee family native to Southeast Asia. The tree leaves produce psychoactive compounds that can assist in relaxation, increased energy, focus, and sleep, depending on the type of drink selected.

The venue also hosts live music performances and wellness-focused gatherings, including massage nights.
