A popular name in Southern comfort food will open its doors in one of North Texas’s fastest-growing communities, Prosper, at the intersection of S. Teel Parkway and US 380. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store will debut its newest location in Prosper on May 11, 2026, at 3830 W. University Drive, adding another convenient, comfort-food dining option in a rapidly developing Texas city.
Cracker Barrel is widely recognized for its homestyle Southern cooking and rustic, country-inspired atmosphere. The menu will feature many of the brand’s signature dishes, including all-day breakfast offerings, featuring favorites like Momma’s Pancake Breakfast, Old Timer’s Breakfast, biscuits, eggs, and country ham, as well as pancakes, waffles, and more.
Classics include country-fried steak, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, and chicken and dumplings. Guests can expect a familiar blend of hearty portions and traditional Southern flavors that have made the chain a staple across the country.
In addition to its dining experience, the location will also include the brand’s signature retail shop, offering a curated mix of gifts, seasonal décor, and nostalgic items that complement the restaurant’s old-country theme.

The Prosper opening reflects continued growth for both the brand and the surrounding community, as new residential and commercial development continues to drive demand for established dining concepts in Collin County.
According to Cracker Barrel’s own state listing, the chain operates 65 locations across Texas. This includes both restaurant and Country Store formats, with sites spread throughout the state from major cities like Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Lubbock to smaller towns.
