Turkey lovers in Austin will find high-quality turkey meals at the new Jive Turkey food truck, which opens on Super Bowl Sunday. The truck is parked at the college football-inspired bar Victory Lap at 504 West 24th Street. Founded in 2023 by Longhorns player Deandre Moore, the truck will partner with local businesses to fill gaps in areas where people are in need and provide meals that feel like a home-cooked meal. The menu, developed by the player’s mom, will be reasonably priced.

Customers can order a Jive Burger that is a turkey burger or a Jive Turkey with a cornbread bowl with slow-roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese, all topped with gravy and a side of cranberry sauce. Customers can also get a deep-fried turkey taco with iceberg lettuce and cheddar cheese.
Jive Turkey is open Sundays to Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to midnight and Thursdays to Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., opening early for morning games. Yes, football fans, there will be big TVs for watching the games.
