Blue Bell fans have many reasons to celebrate this spring and summer. Groom’s Cake Ice Cream hit store shelves on May 1, thanks to overwhelming fan support in the company’s first-ever Great Scoop Revival Flavor Tournament.

The tournament, which was showcased on Blue Bell’s social media channels and website, invited fans to vote on which retired flavor they wanted to see make a comeback. Sixteen former favorites were handpicked based on customer requests, and the bracket-style competition narrowed down the choices weekly. The final tally resulted in Groom’s Cake, a triumph over Cookie Cake in the finals.

Originally launched in 2009, Groom’s Cake quickly became a fan favorite before being retired in 2018. The decadent dessert features Blue Bell’s signature Milk Chocolate Ice Cream swirled with strawberry sauce and chocolate icing, filled with rich chocolate cake pieces and chocolate-coated strawberry hearts. The returning flavor will be available for a limited time in both pint and half-gallon sizes.

And there’s more good news. Thanks to a large response, Cookie Cake Ice Cream will also be returning to store shelves later this month. This flavor combines sweet cream ice cream with generous chunks of chocolate chip cookie cake and swirls of both chocolate and vanilla icing. Cookie Cake Ice Cream will be sold in pint and half-gallon sizes.

Plus, ice cream lovers can enjoy a bowl of Blue Bell’s Bride’s Cake Ice Cream this summer. The flavor is a luscious almond ice cream with white cake pieces surrounded by a rich amaretto cream cheese icing swirl. It’s available in the pint and half gallon sizes, but only for a limited time.
