Elon Musk is a fairly new Texan having moved to the lonestar state during the global COVID-19 pandemic. His work in Texas has largely been focused on the launch facility for his SpaceX company near Brownsville and Boca Chia in a place he is calling Starport, TX. Elon also had a massive Tesla gigafactory built near Austin, TX and in October of 2021 announced that Tesla’s main headquarters would be leaving California for Austin, TX as well.
