After months of requests, two fan-favorite items are officially returning to menus. The Monterey Melt and the Chicken Fajita Taco make their limited-time comeback beginning December 30, 2025.
The Monterey Melt returns just in time for the new year, delivering the bold, indulgent flavors that earned it cult-favorite status. The hearty burger stacks two 100% beef patties with a blend of Monterey Jack and American cheeses, topped with grilled onions and peppers and finished with Whataburger’s signature Jalapeño Ranch sauce. The result is a rich, spicy, melty burger that longtime fans have been craving and now it is back.
Also making its return is the Chicken Fajita Taco, a lighter but equally satisfying option. It features grilled chicken breast wrapped in a soft flour tortilla and loaded with seared onions, poblano peppers and red peppers. Smoky, savory and full of Southwest flavor, it’s a go-to choice for guests looking for something flavorful that is lighter.
Alongside the returning classics, Whataburger is also rolling out something new. Launching December 30, the Big Ranch Wrap offers a convenient, grab-and-go option packed with familiar flavors. The wrap includes a crispy chicken strip, fresh leaf lettuce, tomato, creamy buttermilk ranch and American cheese, all tucked into a warm flour tortilla. It will be available at participating locations for $3 as an entrée, with combo options offered for a few dollars more.
Whether guests are craving beef, chicken, or something brand new, the updated lineup offers plenty of ways to kick off 2026 with a satisfying bite.
