Taco aficionados across Texas won’t want to miss the inaugural Texas Monthly Taco Fest that celebrates the best tacos in Texas and debuts in Grand Prairie on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The event will take place at EpicCentral in Grand Prairie, and it will be an evening filled with mouthwatering tacos, live entertainment, and a vibrant atmosphere that captures the spirit of Texas culinary culture. Another signature Taco Fest event will take place on June 7 in Houston.
At the festival, participants will have the chance to taste delicious tacos from 15 exceptional taco vendors, each recognized on Texas Monthly’s prestigious “Top 50 Tacos in Texas” list. Attendees can look forward to savoring a diverse array of taco styles, from traditional favorites to delicious creations. Notable participants include Dallas’ own El Come Taco, Molino Olōyō, and Resident Taquería, Fort Worth’s Don Artemio, San Antonio’s El Pastor Es Mi Señor, Austin’s Ramen del Barrio, and El Paso’s Taconeta, among others.
Ticket options are as follows. VIP admission ($75) grants early entry at 5 pm, providing attendees with exclusive access to all taco vendors before general admission begins. VIP tickets are limited and expected to sell out quickly. General admission ($50) allows entry at 5:30 pm, offering access to the full range of taco offerings and live entertainment. Kids admission ($20) is available for children aged 6-12; children under 5 enter free with a ticketed adult. Each ticket includes tastings from all 15 featured taco joints.

In addition to celebrating Texas’ rich taco heritage, the festival will support the Zavala Family Foundation, a Grand Prairie-based organization dedicated to assisting restaurant industry professionals affected by cancer. A portion of all ticket proceeds will be donated to this meaningful cause.
