A new French dining destination has opened in one of Dallas’ most recognizable spots at Preston Center. Frenchie, the latest concept from Travis Street Hospitality, which is the team behind Knox Bistro and Georgie, has officially opened its doors at 8420 Preston Center Plaza, taking over the longtime home of Corner Bakery, which operated there for over 20 years until its closure in 2022.

This bold new concept is from founders Stephan Courseau and Daniele Garcia who are creating a more relaxed, family-friendly, all-day brasserie vibe with Frenchie. Whether you’re a local shopper, a neighborhood regular, a nearby office worker, or a family looking for a dependable bite, Frenchie aims to become your new go-to spot.

From buttery croissants and café au lait in the morning to tartare de boeuf and steak frites in the evening, Frenchie is designed to serve all day. The menu offers casual French classics like quiche, crepes, poulet rôti, salade Parisienne, and pâtes au pistou, along with comforting fare like burgers, French onion soup, and profiteroles. A curated wine list showcases boutique French vineyards, and the cocktail menu features creative offerings like the freezer martini, which is bottled and pre-chilled in-house.

The 4,000-square-foot space includes seating for 150 in the dining room and bar, plus an airy 1,200-square-foot covered patio complete with an indoor-outdoor bar. The ambiance captures the timeless charm of a French bistro, with rattan chairs, banquettes, pewter-topped bars, and vintage-style brass lighting.

Since launching Le Bilboquet in 2013, Travis Street Hospitality has grown into one of the city’s most respected restaurant groups. Frenchie is their latest evolution—offering refined flavors in a more casual, come-as-you-are atmosphere.
