The innovative minds behind local favorites like Muchacho and Whistle Britches have unveiled a new concept in University Park called Casa Brasa, a wood-fired Latin restaurant that serves delicious meats, seafood, and Latin dishes.
Casa Brasa’s menu draws inspiration from Japan, Mexico, and the Mediterranean, crafted by Chef Omar Flores and his talented team. The restaurant is part of Big Dill Hospitality, the group behind Flores’ other popular spots, including Muchacho, Even Coast, and Whistle Britches.
At Casa Brasa, Latin flavors are globally inspired from smoky tomahawk steaks to delicate sushi rolls and shareable small plates. Every dish reflects a balance of bold flavors and culinary craftsmanship.
Open-fire grills produce robust steaks, pork, and seafood, including Mexico City’s beloved Divorciado, a sea bass topped with red and green salsa, and smoky char-grilled oysters. The restaurant also features an extensive sushi menu with specialty maki rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and more, all prepared by a skilled team. A highlight is the ahi tuna tataki, which is seared tuna with a hint of spice, served over orange slices in a bright yuzu ponzu sauce and topped with salsa macha.

The menu’s Mexican flair shines through in dishes like guacamole, ribeye tacos, and pork short rib carnitas, while its Mediterranean touch comes through in plates, such as the Mexican Fattoush salad and Cauliflower a la Brasa.
From fresh ceviche to seared ribeye, Casa Brasa promises a dining experience that’s a celebration of Latin fire and global flair.
