Flower Mound lands Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, a colorful candy destination known for blending nostalgia with over-the-top fun, opening its first-ever Texas location (22nd in the U.S.) in Parker Square on January 22, 2026.

The playful, old-fashioned candy store spans more than 4,000 square feet, filled with bright colors, whimsical décor, and shelves packed from floor to ceiling with treats.

Shoppers can expect a massive selection of bulk candy, hard-to-find sweets from around the world, chocolates, and hundreds of varieties of bottled sodas. The store will also serve hand-scooped ice cream, floats, and milkshakes, along with novelty toys and gifts that appeal to kids and adults alike.

One of the shop’s standout features is its build-your-own candy experience, where customers can load up a box with their favorite sweets for a single flat price. So, get ready to stuff it, stack it, and squeeze it shut, and if the lid closes, the entire candy haul is only $5.

The new location marks the brand’s continued growth nationwide and introduces the Texas market to its signature blend of classic candy shop charm and modern fun. Doors will open in the afternoon on opening day at 4:05 p.m., welcoming candy lovers of all ages to explore, sample, and indulge.
