A unique twist on the burger concept called Ookuma Burger, a hamburger walk-up pop-up at 1902 Botham Jean Blvd., is serving teriyaki-infused burgers, a popular Japanese spin on the traditional American burger.

The new burger spot that is focused on Japanese street food and culture was created by chef YuYee Sakpanichkul Kaiho and husband George Kaiho. They also own Ka-Tip Thai Street Food by The Shed at Dallas Farmers Market.

The menu’s focal point is the teriyaki burger, made with beef or pork, brioche buns, tangy teriyaki sauce, lettuce, Japanese mayonnaise, and pickles. Customers can order the deep breaded chicken sandwich or the deep-fried potato and meat croquettes.

Close on Monday and Tuesday, the restaurant is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.
