The Roanoke Tavern, which officially opened its doors on October 22, 2025, is already drawing crowds for its hearty comfort food, sports-friendly atmosphere, and impressive whiskey collection.
Located at 309 S. Oak Street in Roanoke, Roanoke Tavern is the latest project from the same team behind Keller Tavern. The new spot took over the former Chop Shop Live location, filling it with 75-inch TVs and a whiskey wall with 100 whiskeys. Roanoke Tavern is part of a growing entertainment hub that will soon include Roanoke Live, a live music venue, and an upcoming café concept right next door.
The menu offers American tavern classics with a few bold twists. Think yummy craft burgers, juicy Philly cheesesteaks, and delicious tavern bites like chicken stuffed with jalapeño and tossed in buffalo sauce.
There’s the whiskey wall, a show-stopping lineup of 100 different whiskeys. Adventurous drinkers can even participate in a challenge to taste their way through the entire wall over time and earn their name on the tavern’s commemorative plaque.
