A new BBQ spot is always worth checking out, and this time, it’s a new joint in Grand Prairie that’s now serving delicious BBQ with gorgeous golf course views. Crowns BBQ & Sports Grill has officially opened its doors, offering mouthwatering barbecue and beautiful views from its location inside the Prairie Lakes Golf Course at 3202 S.E. 14th Street. Guests don’t need a tee time to eat at Crowns BBQ as it’s open to everyone. Just enter the restaurant through the Prairie Lakes Golf Course clubhouse.
Owner Felicia Davis learned the art of smoking meat from her aunt and uncle and other family members who owned a BBQ venture that closed during the pandemic. Now, while her family manages the Crowns BBQ Phase 1 in Arlington, the Grand Prairie location is Davis’ very own business. A proud Grand Prairie native and die-hard sports fan, Davis saw the grill at this golf course as the perfect backdrop to blend her passion for barbecue with her love of sports.
Crown BBQ offers brisket sandwiches and plates, pork ribs, and smoked sausage. Fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, try the hearty potato that is piled high with creamy sour cream, fresh chives, melted cheese, rich butter, and tender chopped smoked brisket with a generous drizzle of the homemade BBQ sauce.
Guests can get a good view of the golf course while enjoying yummy BBQ on the patio overlooking the fairway.
