London-Based Noodle Shop Makes Footprints in Texas

Wagamama, the renowned global eatery celebrated for its contemporary Asian cuisine, will build Texas roots in Dallas at 2425 Harry Hines Blvd., as it opens on December 8.

Originating in the United Kingdom in 1992, Wagamama, which means naughty child, has flourished with 227 locations globally, including eight in the U.S.

Visitors can savor various noodle and rice creations, salads, shareable dishes, refreshing juices, hot tea, wine, sake, and Asian beers. Taking cues from the dynamic ambiance of Japanese ramen bars, Wagamama presents a vibrant, full-service dining experience that provides a modern spin on Asian cuisine.

Dishes are prepared fresh-to-order, served directly from wok to table. Signature offerings such as Ginger Chicken Udon, Yasai Katsu Curry, Chicken Gyoza Ramen, and craft cocktails like the Thai Chili Margarita add a unique and delicious touch to the dining experience.

From “bowl to soul”, other menu highlights include ramen dishes, like duck ramen, with a hearty hot broth filled with fresh ramen noodles, toppings, and garnishes. Guests can try teppanyaki, a big plate of sizzling noodles stir-fried to create soft, warm noodles and crunchy vegetables. The restaurant also offers fresh rice dishes called donburi, which include stir-fried rice with chicken, beef, or prawns.

At more than 4,000 square feet, the restaurant caters to various dining preferences, whether for a quick yet relaxed lunch, a leisurely family dinner, or a fun gathering of friends. The establishment includes an outdoor patio at the Harry Hines Blvd and Ashland Street corner.

To mark its opening on December 8, Wagamama offers the first 50 guests a complimentary ramen by mentioning the code “Rush for Ramen.” Additionally, Wagamama has partnered with Paper for Water to raise funds for global water and sanitation projects. On December 8, an origami piece composed of butterflies will be on display at the restaurant.
