Renowned Dallas chef and entrepreneur Tim Love will soon launch his new cocktail bar and croquet club named Stewart’s Croquet & Cocktails in Fort Worth’s River District. Set along the Trinity Trail, this elegant cocktail bar and croquet club, named after Love’s father, offers an inviting atmosphere that blends exceptional cocktails, delicious small plates, and the timeless charm of an English country club. It is slated to open this month.
The space and the idea were inspired by fond memories of croquet matches on Love’s father’s farm in Cookeville, Tennessee. Located at 4424 White Settlement Road in Fort Worth, the 1,100-square-foot building has been transformed into an intimate indoor setting with 28 seats, including a private dining space for up to eight. Outdoors, a sprawling 15,000-square-foot lawn will accommodate two concurrent croquet games, with full food and beverage service available. Guests can sip handcrafted cocktails while enjoying the lively yet relaxed ambiance. A removable cover will provide shade, and in keeping with croquet tradition, guests are encouraged to don classic “Croquet Whites,” with jackets or sweaters available on-site for those who need them.
The menu offers a sophisticated spin on country club classics, designed for sharing. Customers will find a chilled Gulf shrimp cocktail, lobster roll, Croque Monsieur with smoked ham, gruyère, and velvety mornay sauce on house-made tomato brioche, plus Wagyu skirt steak with skinny fries and hollandaise, the Texas Blue Crab Cake, and a club sandwich with house-roasted and smoked meats, vine-ripened Gemelle tomatoes, house-made American cheese, and mayo on triple-toasted crystal bread.
The club joins Love’s growing collection of River District destinations situated next to Hotel Otto, Fort Worth’s first micro-resort hotel, and Gemelle, his acclaimed Italian-inspired restaurant. Together, these three properties create a dynamic hub for dining, leisure, and entertainment along the Trinity River.
