The Knox Henderson neighborhood in Dallas is gaining a new bookstore and coffee shop called Read Shop, located at 2730 N. Henderson Avenue, which opens on June 9, 2024. This is the first location in Texas.
Dan Collier started Read Shop in Atlanta in 2016. In 2018, he opened Archer Paper Goods and Proper Wax Candle Shops in Dallas’ Deep Ellum. He once owned The Merchant on Lower Greenville, which closed during Covid in 2022.

In addition to being a bookstore featuring fiction, nonfiction, and gifts, the Dallas store will offer coffee from Portland-based Stumptown Coffee Roasters and pastries from La Casita Bakeshop.
The two-story Read Shop will have a kid’s section upstairs and seating around the shop to relax, have a coffee, and read. Customers will also enjoy the outdoor patio.
