To increase its retail footprint, a taqueria in Austin—Tacodeli—partnered with H-E-B. Starting at the end of March, H-E-B shoppers can find 12-ounce containers of four of the restaurant’s most popular options: Salsa Verde, Salsa Roja, Black Bean Dip, and Queso. Currently, 290 H-E-B locations across Texas will sell six flavors of Tacodeli salsas, queso, and dips.
Tacodeli developed a chunky salsa as a retail exclusive that is delicious paired with tortilla chips. Customers can find the Tacodeli freshly made, refrigerated products in the deli section near H-E-B’s Meal Simple line of entrees, sides, and more.
The new partnership expands Tacodeli’s retail offerings, which have been available at Whole Foods Market since 2017. The restaurant aims to become a nationally known brand.
Founded in 1999 in Austin by Robert Espinosa, Tacodeli owns 12 locations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Plano. Known for its breakfast tacos, the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, as well as almost 40 different meat, seafood, and vegetable tacos spiced with various salsas, made fresh daily.
