Urban Cookhouse landed in Texas, opening its first Lone Star State restaurant in Prosper on Aug. 11 at 1151 S. Preston Road, bringing made-from-scratch Southern favorites to the area.
The Alabama-born brand presents its farm-to-fire-to-table concept to Texas, staying true to its roots with a menu built around fresh, locally sourced ingredients from nearby growers. Guests can enjoy wraps, salads, and hearty sandwiches like the Urban Cowboy with lime-marinated steak layered with caramelized peppers and onions, topped with pepper jack cheese, and served on a French roll.
For those craving a plated meal, the fork-and-knife offerings include The Down Home, which pairs oven-roasted turkey with hot cheddar pasta, broccoli salad, and the restaurantās signature orange roll.

Weekend brunch, available on Saturdays and Sundays, serves up dishes such as the Farm-to-Table Breakfast with two eggs, herb-roasted potatoes, bread, and a choice of applewood smoked bacon or chicken sausage.
Customers can expect the freshest eggs, greens, honey from Prosper neighbors, and baked goods from local storefronts. A custom coffee blend in collaboration with 1418 Coffee is in progress for a future roll out.
The Prosper location even features a small in-house market, where visitors can pick up items like homemade sauces and dressings, fresh-baked orange rolls, local honey, pickles, and more.
