Downtown Dallas is getting a bold new dining revival as Pangea returns with a new address, a bigger vision, and the same chef-driven passion that made the concept stand out in North Texas.

Created by chef and restaurateur Kevin Ashade, a Culinary Institute of America graduate and winner of Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay in 2016, Pangea will begin a new chapter on February 13, 2026, in Downtown Dallas after being shuttered in Garland in early 2025. Ashade’s famous coq au vin, the dish that earned him national recognition, will be featured on the new menu, while introducing diners to his globally inspired style.

Moving into downtown Dallas from Garland signals a shift toward a livelier, more social dining experience. Expect a menu that moves comfortably between cultures, pairing rich comfort dishes with seafood, sushi, steaks, pasta, and shareable plates meant to spark conversation at the table.

Alongside Ashade’s signature dishes, diners can expect options that range from indulgent entrées to lighter selections, plus brunch offerings.

The menu at Pangea features dishes and flavors from around the world. Chef Ashade has traveled around the world and tasted the most incredible dishes from various cultures. He is now bringing these diverse flavors to the menu at Pangea, coining the term “cultural fusion” with gourmet ingredients and elevated presentation.

This opening presents a new opportunity to discover a chef whose passion for flavor and storytelling extends far beyond the plate, now set against the vibrant backdrop of downtown Dallas.
