A Family-Owned North Texas Bar-B-Que Business Opens in Cedar Creek Lake

Soulman’s Bar-B-Que, renowned for its award-winning smoked meats and yummy sides, recently opened at its 21st North Texas location in Mabank, Texas.

As a family-owned and operated establishment for 50 years, Soulman’s Bar-B-Que launched its first BBQ joint in Pleasant Grove, a Dallas suburb, on October 19, 1974. The BBQ business continues its steadfast cooking techniques and cherished family recipes.

As one of the premier barbecue destinations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Soulman’s original family recipes continue to be popular, serving eight different types of meat that are smoked “low & slow” over hickory wood in addition to famous homemade sides, including Ranch house beans, fried okra, spicy potatoes, Texas style cream corn, and more.

Special menu items include a large, chopped beef sandwich with two sides or a baked potato with all the fixings. Guests can order delicious BBQ bowls as well as build their own bowls. Customers can order ribs or family-style meals with one to two pounds of meat and sides. Create a BBQ plate or buy by the pound. There’s lots to choose from at Soulman’s.

According to the company’s release, Soulman’s was considered one of the Top Bar-B-Que Chains in America (2018) and Best Bar-B-Que in Dallas for Takeout & Delivery (2020).

The release noted the fact that Soulman’s Bar-B-Que currently owns and operates 21 North and East Texas locations in Allen, Cedar Hill, Forney, Fort Worth, Garland, Greenville, Hurst, Hurst Grapevine Highway, Lancaster, Lewisville, Mabank, Mansfield, Mesquite, Quinlan, Red Oak, Rockwall I-30, Rockwall Goliad, Royse City, Sulphur Springs, Terrell, and Van.
