There’s a new kind of fuel being served at 6600 Davis Boulevard called Big Daddy Cheesesteaks. This bold new sandwich joint, which was once a gas station, now serves Philadelphia’s most iconic street food.

The menu keeps things simple and delicious with two main cheesesteak-style sandwiches. The options are sliced ribeye with grilled onions and cheese whiz or chicken with grilled onions. These sandwiches come on Amoroso’s rolls, the Philadelphia-based roll that holds the best Philly cheesesteaks. Everything is high quality and homemade, from the ground burger patties to the hand-cut fries. And speaking of fries, they’re fried in beef tallow, not oil, for that extra golden crunch.

Beyond cheesesteaks, the menu features items like the Daddy App Sampler with three chicken strips, fried pickles, onion rings, and fries. Customers can order a Cheeseburger made with fresh ground in house beef, mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions, tomatoes, etc. Salad lovers can opt for the Big Daddy Salad. The big menu item is loaded cheesesteak fries made with steak, onions, and cheese whiz on top of a giant load of fries.

The restaurant owners are Darrell Wilkerson and Brian Wilkinson, two former IT engineers who traded circuits for sandwiches.
