The Texas summer sun is beating us all down, but Fort Worth residents have a potential way to enjoy the rays of the intense Texas summer sun most are likely unaware of – a real beach.
It’s called Twin Points Beach at Eagle Mountain Lake which happens to be right outside the western boundary of the city limits of Fort Worth and next to the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge.
Texans are so shocked to find out about this beach that when a TikToker posted a video about it in mid-August the video quickly racked up 1.3 million views. Gaining comments like “I live in Fort Worth and didn’t know anything about this. Wow.” and “I’m born and raised Fort Worth Tx and never knew of this”.
The beach is maintained by the Tarrant Regional Water District and resembles a beach on a coastal bay. Those who know about it find the spot relaxing and peaceful and a great way to get some rays in the summertime. Careful, now that the word is out we are hearing parking has become more and more difficult and could cost you up to $20 / vehicle.
