San Antonio will soon welcome a robust and acclaimed taqueria from Puerto Vallarta named Tacos On The Street. San Antonio becomes the first U.S. location when the restaurant opens in August. It will be located at 22026 US Highway 281 N #101 in Stone Oak and it will become the brand’s new headquarters.
The fast-casual restaurant began as a taco stand in 1993. Today, it’s one of the Puerto Vallarta’s popular dining options.
The most popular menu item is the street-style carne asada. The restaurant’s tacos, quesadillas, and tostadas are rooted in tradition, crafted from recipes from generations. A super star on the menu is the signature taco, featuring tender, thin-sliced beef, seared over open charcoal flames for crispy edges. Each taco is layered with two distinct house salsas, a smooth avocado verde and a zesty tomato cruda. The tacos are made with handmade tortillas, hand-pressed fresh each day from a custom blend of nixtamalized masa and fine corn flour. Spice lovers can kick it up a notch with the smoky, fire-roasted chile de árbol salsa. The delicious food experience pairs seamlessly with icy margaritas, a tangy Jamaica Mezcalita, and small-batch scoops from New York City’s Van Leeuwen Ice Cream.
