A global Indian restaurant chain—Saravanaa Bhavan—opened on December 21, 2023, in Richardson’s Cityline location at 3551 Wilshire Way, Suite 100. The new Richardson restaurant is the third Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex location, with restaurants in Irving and Plano.
Starting in 1981, the chain of Indian vegetarian restaurants, owned by the Hotel Saravanaa Bhavan, has a strong presence across 27 outlets in South India, three in northern India, and in 25 countries with 81 locations worldwide. The chain made their Texas debut in 2012 in Irving.
The restaurant’s vast menu serves more than 300 dishes in 10 spicy and non-spicy categories. If that sounds overwhelming, the perfect meal is the thali, a delicious sampler of ten small meals served in little stainless-steel bowls with white rice. Guests can select from starters, appetizers, bread, clay pot dishes, an extensive dosa menu, an uthappam menu, rice dishes, curries, and much more.
Orders can be placed online, and the restaurant also offers catering services.
